Magnets near mini Vbar?

Guys,

On my logo 550 I was thinking of using governor magnets to make the canopy meet nicely at the back (I managed to get a job lot of them a while back)

This will mean having fairly strong magnets quite near to the mini Vbar (1-2 inches away)

Ive tried googling but all I Get is people with governor troubles.

Are magnets going to be ok pretty near to the Vbar? they arent going to upset anything are they?

I found these few comments in another thread

There have been problems reported regarding using magnets on the back of the canopy of 700 xxtremes. Aparently the magnets are very close to the mini vBar location and if the magnets are quite powerful the FBL unit can be affected. No one to my knowledge, however, has had problems with them on the logo 500/550/600. Others may know better.

I never had a problem with my rare earth magnets causing any V Bar problems. The only problem I ever had was because they are so strong once the back of the canopy banged together and chipped the back

Use them on my 600sx and never had any problems. I got mine from RS components and just glued them in

Or you could just use the RCBooya mounts, they are perfect
I did post in the other thread about my rare earth magnets and although they worked very well I did manage to chip the back of the canopy when they caught me out and banged together

yeah I saw the USB connector thingy, but I dont have any to hand... Ill give this a try first, will post photos soon!
