Default a must canopy mod for all mikado logo owners

Something that has always bugged was the way that the mikado canopy never fits together at the rear, i thought about doing the earth magnet mod but decided that it was to much of a risk with my v bar directly below, here is what i did in steps below.
In total the mod cost £3.48

    Things you will need
    1) 5 min poxy adesive
    2) Maplin usb 1.1 mini plug x 2 packets

    step 1
After opening the usb parts you only need 2 of the items (5 th & 1 pictures ), cut of the bit at the end of the metal adapter as it is not needed.

    step 2
file the canopy where they meet to give a nice straight clean line (6th picture), then tape the canopy together firmly (i used insulation tape) so it doesnt move while working on the mod.

    Step 3
fit the metal piece and the plastic piece together, making sure it up to the limit (can only go in one way around) Rough up the edges on the metal fittings and poxy a small washer to make them the same height, (4th picture) and remove the little raised bits from the plastic as so it fits nice and flush.

    Step 4
Poxy the fittings to the frame to just hols it in position until it goes hard as so it does't move, (3rd picture)

    Step 5
Add more poxy glue all around the 2 fittings making sure you dont glue the 2 fittings together.(3 picture)

    Step 5
Peel the insulation tape away and gently pull apart once glue has harden completly

Easy and takes about 15 mins in total and the results are perfet fitting canopy.(pictures 2 & 7)

On my original canopy i had velcro as it had about a 1inch overlap, the one i got of Laurence overlapped a little but it didn't need any fastner. The Fusuno one i now have has about a 1 inch gap when fitted so it's impossible to do the mod. I've got used to the gap now & it doesn't flap about in backwards flight so alls good.
