Hi,
In the setup menu the indicator next to the RPM sensor will turn green when sensor is on the magnet, and red when it is not.

I'll check now, I was cranking it to change but didn't notice it turn green.

Not sure how fast the software updates the indicator, best way to be sure is to turn the engine slowly with your finger in the fan, this way you can also check you only get 1 activation per rotation. (If the two fan magnets are wrong you may get 2)

Thanks Paul, I've just turned it very slowly & it is switching green, software is not sensitive enough to show green when cranking.

Yes that is the gear ratio for the 600n I got from the manual I think.

i had to reduce the gov gain from the default value to 23 in the end, not sure that is the right solution but it certainly stopped it hunting.

i will be interested to see how you get on, maybe let me know what gain value works for you, what throttle servo are you going to use?

I'm going to use the S9254 servo to begin with & I'm hoping to fire her up in the morning but I've also got to run the engine -in so I won't use gov till she's run in then I'll let you know how I get on.

Done my first maiden today with my new redline 56 engine & gov is set @ default value & works perfect with the Futaba S9254 on throttle with no hunting so im well pleased.

I guess engine is run in now and governor is working with gain of 30 correct?
Only difference can be the servo then I am using an Align 610 which is no where near as fast as your S9254 seems opposite to what I would have thought, expected faster servo to need less gain?

Done me final running-in this morning & whilst running-in my setup was 30% gpro's parameter default setting & ATV was 55%, not completely sure im doing it right like this but now engines run-in need to up engine & head speed a little which i assume will be done in ATV...?

Not sure which ATV you are referring to do you mean aux2? 55% would be very very slow?

Looks like you are using spectrum correct?
Then easiest way is to use the governor menu this way you can define different head speeds in each flight mode
channel set to Aux2, switch set to flightmode switch.

Pos 0 which is normal set to -25% (this turns gov off in normal mode)
Pos 1 I have 80% which is approx. 1950 head speed
pos 2 I have 89% which is approx. 2050 head speed

Sorry should of said im DX18 using aux 2 for gov, going by the engine manual for running engine in needed to keep aux 2 to about 55% for roughly the engine speed required but head speed was a bit low.
Thanks for the settings I assumed you use gov in all flight modes.
Reading back on your posts I noticed you mentioned manual so I downloaded one from the Align site now don't no why didn't think of that before as I've also upgraded to DCF.

Did you manage to get the latest 600N DFC manual the one with the Gpro?
Sounds like that is exactly what you need!

i set gov off (any negative value will do this) in normal mode as I found as soon as throttle reaches 30% the gov kicked in and caused violent spool up.

Up until last night I've been reading various forums to set it all up & lastnight downloaded the 600 gpro manual but not gone through it to compare with my setup.

I first set up gov in norm mode & iu1 55%, iu2 75%, but I've now copied your setting norm mode 0,25,25,25,25 iu1 80% iu2 85 & left gov gain 30% so just got to try it tomorrow.
