Hey.
With the 3G fitted to my 700N originally I was running 690D's which were working well, not too lively but chuckable enough.
Now I've moved the same gear into my new 700E I am running the dedicated Align 690 3G blades that are heavier to suit FBL better. I don't think these feel quite so edgy as the 690D's but they can certainly be made to move in aggressive 3D.
Auto's are understandably better and so to is the hovering, especially in any wind.
I've not tried any other FBL blades as yet to compare them to but am hoping to try some Edges or Radix's for a comparison.

Yes they do make a difference, as said SB's are very light are not really great for FBL helis at all.
Get some EDGE blades and feel the difference for blades made for FBL
. I find them more stable but with V-Bar V5 there isn't a great deal of difference as this system tries it's best to make all blades perform the same regardless.
