First FBL flight

I managed to get just one tank through the 700 this morning before being dragged off shopping :-)

The set up of this system is sooooooo easy, took just a couple of evening's to do the conversion, first night was building and fitting the head and links (spindle bolts were thread locked but were NOT tight so please check yours) and next night to fit and set up the electronics.

Really impressed with it so far, hopefully I will get a full day flying it tomorrow and hopefully my opinion doesn't change

Certainly feels different to flybarred Heli

Anyway I thought I would get the Mrs to film the very first flight in case it lifted off and ploughed straight into the dirt (quality not great as it was filmed on her i-phone)

Man I was nervous lifting it off for the first time

Yes its seems really simple to set up, but will find out Sunday if it flies, but yes its on a Raptor 90!!!!

Simon brought the Raptor 90 fitted with the Align FBL head to the rvmhc club meeting last night. I have to say, it looked absolutely superb - but the proof is in the flying. Hope to see it tomorrow.

I have to say that after seeing the Raptor last night, it looks like the Align FBL head was made for the Raptor!!!

TBH I was going to hold back for an Align FBL system for one of my 700's to see how the reports on them faired, but after reading the views on this forum I think it's a "no brainer" not to try one out. So will be ordering one from TrexMAD.
