That sounds fine then,i know on certain models there is a bias one way or another.

I also wonder how long before people use the Align system on other brand models.I am very keen to see reports from owners of Mikado airframes running the Align system.

Also i wonder if Align would make heads for other brand models like Mikado do to entice people over..

    Interesting times for sure.

The other thing interesting me is what Align suggest or will do about the power supply for the radio gear when using their fbl system. The general rule at the moment is fbl will increase the load on the servos which it does and as a result they can draw more amps.

Mikado recommend you need something capable of supplying 20A which i am sure most people dont have,on my current fbl 600N i am running the old Align 6A reg and it `seems` ok but i am worried how far i am pushing it so if they say their regulators are good for fbl it will ease my concerns.

Or maybe they will sneak out a stronger Reg in the near future. The thought of a little Align 2 in 1 being hammered on a 700N fbl in hard 3d is worrying.

Set up requires NO Computer !
            ====================================
            Set up is ridiculously easy:

Contrary to other FBL systems, the Align system needs the radio in 120? swash mode.

Press the SET button while powering on – this brings you into the 1st setup phase. Here you set everything to zero. Adjust collective pitch to +/- 14? by adjusting the swash %. For cyclic, simply adjust the aileron cyclic pitch to +/-14?, again by adjusting the swash %. Use the same swash % for elevator.
            This completes phase 1.

Press the SET button to go to Phase 2 – setting the Elevator Limit. Simply move the elevator stick to full positive and negative travel.

Press the SET button to go to Phase 3 – setting the Elevator Direction. Check that the swash moves in the right direction. If not, reverse the direction by moving the stick to alternate the light from green to red (or vice versa)

            Do the same for Aileron.

            Swash done. Power off.

Power on (not holding the SET button). After power on, check that the swash moves in the right direction by tilting the heli. Swash moves in the opposite direction for both elevator and aileron.

Press the SET button for 3 seconds. This enters the tail setup. Simply set up the tail as you would the Align 760 tail gyro.

            All done.

In the radio – set your roll rates by increasing or decreasing the swash %. Tail gyro gain is set like any other tail gyro.

            Go fly.

The kit comes with a FBL head, sensor, control box, special servo wheels and a nifty “flybar” holder to check the pitch. At least you have a use for the flybars in your spare parts drawer…

There will be ones for the 450 and 250 as well dont forget - lol

Looks like Align is testing the FL760 gyro or some variant on their 250 and 450 size helicopters. Look like paddle manufacturers may be going out of business soon. Here is a spy shot of those helis here at Align central. Notice the 450 has what appears to be a FL760 control unit on the size of it.
