  • Align Flybarless System

There is first info about the prices of Align flybarless system, it will come ina a box with a flybarless head:

    http://www.rcheligears.com/index.php?cPath=52

I've seen that it has 3 build in sensors, does that mean it will also control the tail and I can get rid of my gyro ?

I've seen Alan was testing it and seems to work fine, what are your feelings about this guys ?

That's interesting, from the pics it seems that Align have opted for Leading Edge control rather than Trailing Edge as used in the flybarred version 700's.

            I wonder why...

If these prices are correct when it hits our shores real soon then it will really open the market up in this area.

Align are obviously being very aggressive in their pricing which is good for us.

Whats more,on RR and the Freak a couple of people in Taiwan already have them, whats more one is a veteran V bar,Skookum flier and he says the Align system works better than them.IMHO hard to believe but we will all know for sure very soon.

All Mikado V bar helis are leading edge contol also as are some of their upgrades for other makes.

I am sure Align will preach that all to use real soon

But from my experience for electrics T rex 500 size and over slightly better duration, less boggable on the head, more noticable power, higher headpseed so you can maybe drop a pinion, very very accurate flight.

On a 450 size electric,no benefit noticable really.

                      On a 50 Size Nitro,more power,less bogging,awesome locked in feel.

This was using V bar but if the Align system flies well you can expect exactly the same benefits.

From my limited experience so far,if the system is poor or not setup properly it will fly like a dog,if its a decent system and is set up properly you will love it for the rest of your life.

Some people say it gives up to 15% more power, and the heli is more precise, but will test it first and then give my opinion

I have a Mikado conversion head on my Trex 500 and it is Trailing Edge.

Yes all the Mikado Logo model are leading and some of the upgrades are but not all,it depends on the geometry etc as to what you can do with the original head,my Rex 500 was leading edge ie you flipped the grips over as per Mikados instructions so the Align writing was on the bottom.

Here you go Rex 500,leading edge

                            http://shop.mikado-heli.de/e-vendo.p...&c=4310&p=4310

Instruction, you must flip grips to use preset

Thanks, I remember now, that document arrived with the conversion kit but didn't make much sense so I consulted the VStabi forum which says there is no difference either way assuming that the geometry is correct (which it is) and the blades have a neutral CofG, so I left the grips with writing on the top and reversed to Collectives in the software.

The model flies beautifully... (but not today it's damn freezing!)

I am very interested to see and try this new device and it will be interesting to see the adoption rate for this compared to the superb VBar 4 product.
