    Hey Buddy.

No, you cannot use end points as you would for old flybarred setups.

With the 3GX, level the swashplate at mid stick with as least sub trim as you possibly can. Any slight changes in swashplate levelness at the extreme's does not seem to matter in flight.

hi,why not? my swash is a bit out at low stick so I was gonna use end points.

        Hey.

It's just the way the 3GX works, unlike the Vbar it does not have individual settings to level the swash at the extremes.
If you do use the travel limits to do so all the internal mixing will be wrong within the 3GX, as it needs to see 100% in either direction and you could be in for an exciting first flight.

hi,so you are saying being a bit out low or high is fine? I did use end points when I built my 500 and it was perfect.but I will do as you say,as I don't want to crash my new 550!

The 3GX can't sense whats happening when static on the bench so can't adjust for it, thats why you're seeing differences. When in flight because there is nothing static preventing roll or pitch the unit can adjust/ react to the gyro sense.

              Hey.

Yes, a discrepancy at top and bottom stick is not what we would call ideal but the 3GX does compensate for it if need be. This is why I recommend to use minimal sub trim, easier said than done with single arm servo horns, but I have found the less sub trim the better the swashplate was at the extremes. This is also dependant on how well you align your servo arms at the mid stick position, with the control ball in the centre of it's arc of movement.

                  Evening Mate.

Yeah that sounds much better. It takes a lot of fiddling sometimes to get as good as you can, but pays off in the end with the flying.
