3gx setup help

Hi, this is my first time setting up a 3gx, but i am having a problem i have o% at mid stick and +12% at high but at low i have -18% just wondering how do i adjust it to get it even. Also at what stage of the 3gx setup do i put in normal pitch curve e.g in normal mode 40% 45% 50% 75% 100% and in idle 0% 25% 50% 75% 100%. I am currently setting up with a 0% 25% 50% 75% 100% on normal mode.

hi first of all which version are you running of software? there have been various tips and setup posts. have a look threw 3gx section posts by coolice or Alistarc and others normally had give good advice/ setup info. the last one I done was V2.1 I think and has changed / evolved. also if your going to run latest version advise to run a good bec as power hungry on standard bec. someone will help further in a bit.

Hi. Your swash is too high. You need to shorten the 3 links between the servos and swashplate. Do all a turn a time and recheck your throw unitl its even. Also check your servo arms are 90 with as little sub trim as possible.

Make sure you do this in DIR mode and set your pitch curve to 100 50 50 50 0 to make it easier too setup midstick.

When you get it to say +/- 15, reduce the swash pitch mix to bring it down to what you want.

I never use different pitch curves, always straight line, but as a beginner I can understand why you'd want to.

Hey.

I'll chime in later. Got a customer just arrived to setup their 3GX on V3.1.

But very quickly sounds like your servo arms may not be level at mid stick, so giving an imbalance in pitch range if I'm reading your post right.

So i have know raised the swash plate and have got + and - 12% for my pitch. But i am wondering can i now change my normal pitch curve to 40% 45% 50% 75% 100% just for hovering and for 3d have a 0% 25% 50% 75% 100% in idle up
