So are these really as good as people are saying? Seen a few vids now and certainly look like they perform well. This is essentially a 99% V-Bar mini clone, reverse engineered etc..? For £40.- Futaba T14SG

Well" put it this way.! for the price it is robust enough to survive a crash same as any other fbl unit & it defo seems to do the job as good as beastx/3gx & if you find its not 'well' you've not lost much.Today's outlook is fine for flying.- Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.

Well all i can say is i know the V Bar pretty damn well by now and i cannot tell the difference,it sets up,and programs using the Mikado software and as such is identical.it has the full Pro functionality also.Originally posted by AndyThilo View PostSo are these really as good as people are saying? The only questionnark is over the actual hardware of the unit as its different to the V Bar itself but as already mentioned there are several threads where people have opened them up and commented on the high quality(i will find a link).

So IMHO i cannot say how reliable the physical unit is itself although i trust it enough to fit it straight onto one of my fave helis, and its staying on there too.But for performance and operation this is effectively a V Bar for £43 posted and i give it full marks.Last edited by ChrisB; 16-06-2013, 08:46 AM.

oh, reading through the comments on HK, It seems that they were sending out the buddy codes to those who had ordered.... perhaps that has stopped now...Logo 600 3D --- Vortex Vx1n

Yeh I ordered one but where i could normally find the buddy code under orders there isn't anything, I think they initially had a buddy code then stopped.Originally posted by jimmyhorns View Postoh, reading through the comments on HK, It seems that they were sending out the buddy codes to those who had ordered.... perhaps that has stopped now...TREX 700E DFC SK540

Today did 9 flights with the fubar and am very pleased with it. My unit (and cannot say this is the case for others) is sensitive to large stick inputs prior to take off, which my vbar isn't. Managed on a number of cases get the heli to the point of tip over. However small movements seem fine. This is the only vice I can find.

I have found no difference on the ground with mine, but tbh have never had an issue with any fbl unit on any heli either.
On the business end of things the only thing i wonder is how good the MEMS sensors are they use,i see no difference myself but wonder if they are lower quality than the original that may or may not give rise to vibe or drift issues in some installations, again not seeing an issue myself on the 6HV but a pattern will emerge as more users report on them on different setups.
We plan to fit one to a 600N soon so looking forward to that.
Did three more flights with mine today and all is good, will have it at the DMHC funfly next weekend for more evaluation.

in flight unit is great, just seemed a bit sensitive to me wobbling the sticks prior to lift off. This something i've always done on the vbar with no issue (although this heli has never had a vbar).
No biggie really, just thought i'd share my experience so far warts and all.

Warts n all is good,IMHO V Bar is the best fbl platform out there,in the time ive been flying it,apart from two black sensor failures the system has never once let me down or done anything weird on a variety of models,so to me its earned the status of legendary.
It will be very interesting to see how the Fu plays out,is the firmware going to run as reliable on this unit?,is the hardware going to stand the test of time? I suppose the time will tell us.

Can anybody help me with the binding process on the Fubar to my DX8.
I have one sat plugged in to the RX1 port and my ESC plugged into the RXB port. USB cable is plugged in and computer recognizes it, but software says (USB no connection)
The Sat lights up for a spit second on first power up. I have selected Spektrum satalites DSM-X 1 or 2 and pressed bind but nothing is happening.
Thanks,
Dan.

It might be a driver issue....
You dont need to be bound to have the software recognise it and allow you to move through the config.... it should say USB connectedLogo 600 3D --- Vortex Vx1n

It's still not recognizing the usb, the computer is but the software isn't.
I downloaded Vbar stabi 5.3 from a link in an earlier post. I doesn't look that difficult to set up once the software works.
I'm guessing then that the software should recognize the FuBar straight away without battery being connect to the heli?
Thanks,
Dan.
