YS 56 SR Arrived!!!

My new YS56SR and Hatori 566 arrived today and were very promptly installed into my Vibe 50. Yahoo !!!

I've finished all the plumbing etc and just need to set-up and adjust the throttle arm connection. I'm really looking forward to firing it up on Saturday afternoon this coming weekend.

I'll give a little feedback on Sunday.

Would be really nice to see the YS56 come out comparable as I always felt the YS50 was a little underpowered compared to the OS50.

The YS91SR engine is fantastic and they do regulate the fuel.

Probuild are supplying an engine to the site for us to do maintenance articles and a review, however, I didn't expect to get a first batch engine as demand was high. So, whenever they get some more in I should get one sent over.

Well I fired up the Vibe 50 today with the new YS56 and hatori 566. WOW !!

I set the hover needle to exactly two turns out as suggested in the manual, and it started up straight away. I did'nt touch the bottom or top end mixture adjustment as they are factory set. Power was very good and can only get better once the motor is run in and properly leaned out. It sounded completely different to the YS50 & 522, very quiet and really smooth.

I think this one will be a winner !!

Saw one of these running today in a Velocity with the matching Hatori. Seemed very smooth and transformed how that heli sounds over the 50/outrage pipe combination. still running rich and it was blowing a gale so will have to see what it can do under more favourable conditions.

Hi all. I have T-rex 600 with engine YS50ST and crash last week. Unfortunately the carburetor damage so I want to ask can I replace my YS50ST carburetor with YS56SR carburetor ??

Hi matt i've been running a 56 in my 600 for a little while now, bags of power, so much without the multigov on the clutch will slip it is fitted with a GP muffler from midland heli. on 30%lv i have so far found it to be happyest slightly rich, on a two stroke flow through the motor is all. I've also had a go with an sr91 in my 700, don't rate the reg system as much as carb mounted reg like on the sr56 or the klyne reg on the os91hz-r. next thing the 600 needs is a BeastX then the power'l show. Huzar! have fun with it mate
