I was wondering how the fuel line was attached as obviously you can't use the Align or QUK fitting.

Here you go, this is like the one Kev linked me to but this one has the correct sized tubing. Replacement Fuel Tank Bung And Fitting Kit You only use two of the tubes, one to fill the tank, the other to the carb as usual . Id suggest swapping your bungs around and putting this one on the outside tank hole though

No problem with the fuel line stopping on the tubing then?
There's no barb on the tubing to help keep the fuel line on.

No problem at all,tubing comes way too long just cut it down enough to allow a good 10mm of tubing to cover it, you'll struggle to pull it off I promise!

BTW, you may have to widen the hole in the fuel tank to accommodate the bung, just ream it out to widen the hole.

Yes inside and out. Hayes will be ok but better to use normal clunk tubing because the brass tubing wares through the softer hayes tubing quite quickly!

Just wondering while I wait for spare parts.
I'm planning to blank off the center hole and use the outer one for the fuel outlet.
This means redoing the clunk line.
As it will no longer be central to the tank and will need to reach the other side how long should I now have it?

Aim to get it right over to the far side or not?

If your aiming to get over the other side surely will get wedge, can't you put a fuel magnet on it. If you stick in outside hole will be like 600 layout and will need to go just nearly to the back of tank.imo

I'm using a OS bubbleless clunk at the moment but if need be I can change it.
Obviously running the tank too low is not an option but just need the clunk to work properly and not leave me with a fuel shortage at any time.
Not sure really as an extra long clunk line will surely not get to the outlet side.
The current length puts it pretty much at the rear of the tank but doesn't reach the far side.

just have it touching the near corner, weighty bubbles clunk wont get caught in the corner works fine for me.

Just making sure that I don't create any other issues other than the air problem before I mod the tank.

You could always try a fuel bladder

Yeah I did look at that option.
I don't think it lasts very long though before you have to dismantle everything and replace the balloon.
