So I have installed the GPS and the compass device as far as away from the esc wires as possible, and although the software (not the Xaircraft center) recognises the GPS module is installed, I'm going to leave it at that for now, should I notice anything different in flying it, I have only hovered it so far and not changed anything on the TX.

Well the chap I'm setting this up for still wants to give the GPS & compass a go, so couple of questions.....
He's using a Optic 6 channel TX & RX (not familar with these but do have the manual) but according to the links posted above the GPS unit plugs into Input 7 of the flight controller, and then to a spare channel on the RX. I have spare Ch 5 and Ch7 / data but can't work out even with the manual how to assign any of the switches to Ch 5 or 7 ?
Also I'm assuming from the links again, the GPS locks onto 4 satelites as a minimum in about 45 sec and the Led goes solid green which it does but what next, how do you set the home position or attitude hold functions, I guess each of these have to assigned to a switch. Apprecitate if anyone willing to help can pm me your phone number as to speak would help better?
