Hi Beezer68 - At the moment I have it so the top (where the antenna are) is poking out of the hole in the top plate just behind the camera. This just gives enough room to mount the battery behind it and get the CG in the correct location, I'm using 1300 batteries though, anything bigger may not work. I have given it a quick flight but with wind and rain it isn't ideal conditions! Flew quite well and stable seing the wind was gusting to about 20mph in my garden!

I've just received an update from Align for new firmware update v1.1, I think this is to fix the issue, they have also sent me a link to a new video on how to bind a Spektrum satellite receiver. I'll try and test this later and see if it works

Have Align posted a fix for binding to Spektrum DSM2 satellites?

So I have upgraded the firmware and DV camera to v1.1 and the App to the latest version. Have to use Android at the moment as IOS not available yet.

Did this and there is now a new Bind option in the transmitter settings for Spektrum in the app and following the process I have been able to bind the satellite receiver however it still does not work. When you move the sticks or switches there is no movement registered in the app at all. So one step closer to using the satellite receiver. I've fed this back to Align so we'll see if they come back with.

There should be an iOS app out 29th, I have switched to Futaba and no issues now

Just in case... You have scrolled down in the app far enough to see the 'Stick travel calibration' button?

If that isn't it, then if you have, or know someone who has an Align 150 or a GPro you can use that to bind the satellite. I've seen the 150 route work, can't personally confirm the GPro route.

              However...

Until Align add some sort of failsafe option for the single satellite route I wouldn't consider this to be a good solution...

Yes have tried the calibration also but it doesn't recognise any movement. I think I'm going to stick with the standard receiver as it works fine with that and as Mart_T says you get failsafe.

My set up is with a futaba 6303sb and 14sg transmitter, the model flight nothing else I have seen of this size in the right hands it is incredible, flips rolls loops and more I have two other 250 models and the MR25 is by far the best.

Only one mod I would suggest I know it is for FPV however some times you may want to fly line of sight and it lacks a nice head light on the top front.

I have only hovered it in the garden so far, it has rained almost persistently since I got it working so just need a dryish day to get to the field. Been setting up a new FPV monitor for it but the battery was dead so that has just gone back.

Looking forward to flying it from your feedback, sounds really good.

Guys I followed Propellerhead78 suggestion to get flying and used an old AR600 6 channel receiver and then pulled out the signal wire. Mounted the AR600 directly behind the camera on the top plate with the battery directly behind it. Center of gravity is a bit off, but a couple of 5 gram weights inside the top canopy helps with this. I have put around 16 batteries through the MR25 now. With the weather being what it is half these flights have been in an empty 3000 sq ft warehouse that I have access to. The rest have been at my local club. Yesterday was the best day with only light winds. This is my first quad and haven't bought FPV goggles yet (all line of sight) and still on beginner mode (attitude) but so much fun.

I'm desperate to get to the field but ours is under water! I've tried the camera with an SD card and the picture is really clear, must remember to stop the recording before turning off the quad to ensure the video saves. I've also bought a 7" screen and the picture quality is good but the integrated battery was dead so I've had to send it back for a replacement, I'm going to try a screen first and see how that goes. Glad to hear it is good fun though, my first quad also

Updated iOS app is now available, this now has the DSM2 satellite binding function.

Personally I will not be happy until it also has a failsafe option so I'd still go with a small full Spektrum reveiver, but at least it is now a useable option...

I have tried to set MR25 up using the latest firmware in the model and camera and the new IOS App. It will now bind with a Dsm2 satellite but unfortunately the App still does not recognise any stick movements from my trusty DX7.

If you use the stick calibration function all that happens if you move the sticks around a few times is that the motor arms.
I have tried to set this thing up a number of times since Christmas and have got nowhere.

I am bound to wonder what Align were doing releasing MR25 when there were obvious problems with it working with Spektrum.

Jonners, exactly the same problem I had. I used the Android version 1.1. I did go back to Align and tell them but I haven't had a response. I notice there is now and Android app 1.1.1 however I've spent so much time on it I'm sticking with the standard receiver for the moment. Still haven't had chance t fly it properly with the weather as it is and typically the sun only coming out when I'm at work!!
