From : The famous Charmouth fly-in page

TX CONTROL: £5 per pilot per day. Plus £5 deposit for ID card (refunded on return of the card at the end of the day) NOTE: Everyone with both 35MHz & 2.4GHz must register at tx control. You must produce proof of BMFA membership or you will not be allowed to fly. All pilots require a minimum of an 'A(H)' certificate in order to fly solo at this event, however if you do not have your ‘A(H)' certificate, then you MUST be accompanied by a ‘B(H)’ certificated pilot whenever you fly. However the organisers reserve the right to exclude ANY pilot who is considered by them to be flying in a dangerous or un-safe manner

Yeah I read that but do I need to bring along my own B certified minion (don't know any! Lol) or is it a case of bagging one there?

Ah I see! I wasn't sure on the wording of "accompanied by" lol. So basically one would need a B cert holder to merely observe ones flying?

Sounds fair enough! Hell of a difference between someone being a bit wayward with a 900g electric foamy park flyer and getting too wayward with a 700 with 1.6m wirling blades of death!

So BMFA insurance holders only? Kind of sucks for those with RCHA insurance.

You can fly but you'll have to pay for temporary bmfa cover,

For this reason I won't be renewing with RCHA when it's due

shame as that means the BMFA are not being very fair and are showing contempt for any other insurance out there. They should be reported to the monoplies comission :-)
