as i am still a relative newbie, would this gy401 be a good upgrade for my blade 400. would it plug straight in and still be ok with the original tail servo (to be upgraded in the future as funds allow) and whats your best price on the gyro. thanks

I have one on my blade 400 and yes it will work with the original tail servo. Locks in a lot better than the original!

Yes GY401 would be good upgrade for the Blade 400 that's what i had on mine after a few weeks owning one.
It's already a good price and does include recorded first class post.

Yes it would be fine on a 500 it's not the worlds fastest servo but will cope with normal flying fine, but would not be good for stick banging
what servo have got on it now out of interest?

I dont have a servo for it yet, my heli "flying" consists of hovering at the mo so definately no stick banging! Iv just got a charger and now need a tail servo and batteries!Going to try and sell two old mechanical gyro's to make some funds for a tail servo, if this is still available when i do ill give you a pm.

I believe it is possible to fit the gear set from a 9257 into the 9650, effectively turning it into a 9257, which is a good tail servo for a 500.
