  • Hirobo Eagle II EX Sale/Swap

Thinking Long and hard.. I have decided to rid myself of my Hirobo Eagle IIex. The club where I fly is electric only, and other fields where I fly do not alow me to fly nitros.

Rather than having it sitting around not doing anything, thought I may test the water to see if I have any interest.

Typical Hirobo quality. Carbon Frames, full metal rotorhead, Tube drive, Futaba 601 with associated servo, Throttle Jockey Pro governor, Align regulator with onboard glow, Header tank, OS70, Zimmerman Muffler. This really has not been used for a little while. All in excellent condition, and a real smooth flyer. Started the motor several weeks back, and runs as it should. Futaba 3152 digital servos on fore/aft and throttle, Hitec 5925 on Pitch. Can be supplied with spektrum ar7000 receiver. 690 carbon blades, with nhp carbon tails.

Is fitted with Freya style canopy, and also have the original canopy. Few spares...Original manual.

Will get some pics posted up as soon as I take some pictures.

A very expensive heli when it was first out.

Looking to sell outright.. or maybe interested in a swap with another electric heli.. Not particularly after anything in mind, but will be interested in whatever maybe on offer

        Thanks Liam..

Not really anything in particular.. but just see what is going to be offered first, and decide from there.

It's just that I really anticipated on keeping it..but, I don't think that I have the time to get back into nitros hence selling it(My present club is also electric only)..or maybe swapping it. Probably go very well into a scale, or someone who wants an accurate smooth flyer.

..forgot to mention, should have the gearing for 90 size motor should you want to convert this to a 90.

As I am not really very familiar with the different Hirobo models myself, what is the difference between the Eagle and the Freya?

There are several different versions of the Freya. The Eagle is one of the better ones, with a price tag to match.

This version has carbon frames (Freya Evo is moulded plastic), torque tube tail (Evo is belt), full metal head (Evo is plastic), metal undercarriage (Evo is plastic) etc etc. This is a quality FAI machine. I've had two Freya Evo 70s over the years and they both flew very nicely. This version can only be better.

To be perfectly honest with you, I have never owned, and only seen the Freya briefly, so cannot comment that much on it. All I know is the Freya had the plastic frames, rotor, and tail components, which were based on the Eagle, and therefore has similar layout. The eagle series EX, WC and WCII were the carbon frames, and aluminum everything. I think the Freya was really to get the heli into more of the masses, as it was alot cheaper and affordable for the everyday pilot.

Probably more suited to sport, FAI, or to put into a scale...but it's all there, and think as a bind and fly.. really good value

Thanks for the info. I have an Evo 50 and at a glance the Freya looks like a bigger version of the Evo, just in terms of cosmetically.

I have a growing interest in F3C type flying which I know Hirobo have done well in historically, so that would be the direction I'd be looking at.

In any case it looks very nice indeed.

This is a steal if you're in the market for a F3C competition machine.

How about this, I'll happy look after it until he finds a place to fly it
