have two questions:
can you use telemetry tm1100 module without using a spektrum receiver ? ie: heli setup using a spirit fbl and two sats , but want to have rpm and voltage telemetry on my dx9

second question is there a way to program servo reverse to a switch ?

Hi mate yes i think you can ask Grumpy he has the TM1100 on his Goblin and the spirirt fbl also has DX9 and DX18

That yes and yes.

Telemetry will work with any receiver or plugged direct to the FBL. The only thing you lose is recording of 'fades' and 'hold' which indicate signel reception strength.. but all other telemetry features work as normal. It does help to have an extra pear of hands when it comes to binding though.

You can do servo reverse from a switch using mixes.... Give me an hour or so and I'll give you the low down on how it's dome (got to take my dogs out for their walk right now!)

ok.. how to do a servo reversing switch (in a Spektrum Tx).

You use the mixes, you need two mixes to do it.

Set both the master and slave channels to the function you want to reverse.. so if you wanted to reverse rudder (for some strange reason) you would set the mix to read

RUD>RUD

next set the rate to -100% 0.0%

leave offset at 0%

Now allocate the Switch you want to use to activate the reverse .. lets say 'Switch A'

So the final mix screen would look like:

RUD>RUD
Rate: -100% 0.0%
Offset: 0%

Switch: Switch A


You now duplicate this mix exactly in the second mix. the idea of using two is they both work together to produce -200% mix which is what you need to fully reverse the channel (trust me!)

I use exactly this mix (only on GYR rather than RUD) with my Spirit FBL controller to produce negative gyro gain values which is what activates 'rescue' on the Spirit.
