  • Which Jr 2.4

I have just had it with the dx 7
I use a Jr x347 on the Sim which went flat the other night so used my 7.
I hated the 7 feel cheap and think it's time to get a new Jr again

I can't seam to find DSX 9 in stock mode 1
the 11 has no date or price and is modular well the first lot will be.
    ( I emailed MacGregor about it )

    and the 12 well I can't

also I like the 2 stick having the same travel

does any one know the frame rates?

Wish we could just buy straight from the states
    Cheers Paul

Inwoods are selling the 9x for a very good price, and i believe it is pretty easy to change it from Mode 2 to 1 if they dont have the 1 in stock.

Shoot jackflap a pm, i nearly bought one from him and he was going to change it from m1 to m2 for me.

I think the DSX9 can be any mode as in the settings you can set it as m1,m2,m3 and m4

        The 11 looks good.

The 9 feels loads better than the 7

Love my 9 but would be tempted by the 11 if i were in for a new tx

You can indeed alter the mode of the DX9 in the setup menu, but you still need to take the back off the Tx to move the throttle ratchet from one side to the other if you're going to switch it from Mode 2 to Mode 1

You will have to change the mode from 2 to 1 in the menu each time you set up a new model as it will default to mode 2.

                  Hi Paul,

First offf... The DSX9 (JR X9303 2.4) is an amazing radio. But, you might just be put off by the travel throw distance - it is a wayy bit too long, I must admit.

I purchased mine from HeliProz in the US. My question is why do you want to buy a mode 2 and convert it to a mode 1? - That will void the warranty, wouldn't it? More importantly, would you have the heart to conduct the surgery on a spanking new Tx? As far as Im aware, you CANNOT change the modes in the settings without having to open the back lid. It would have been brilliant to do so otherwise, but sadly NO.

The DSX 12, on the other hand, has a slightly shorter collective throw. Much to many people's satisfaction, maybe you should try the feel of one before you make a final judgement - you never know - you might just fall in love with it

The JR X9303 2.4 has the following details:
(Please be aware that these specs are NOT as per Mcgregors. They may be the same, I don't know really.)

                  RESOLUTION: 2048

FRAME RATE: Unfortunately, in this terms, the Tx is not as quick as the DX7SE with a FR of 11ms. As far the X9303 2.4 is concerned the FR is 22ms.
                  (SEE HERE)

(For that matter, the 12x also has the speed of 22ms - if Im not mistaken and the only radio otherwise so is the DX7 SE???)

Changing the spring and rachet inside the radio does not effect the waranty also if you read the manual it tells you how to adjust the tension on the sticks wich also involves removing the back of the radio.

I love my DSX9 one of the best radios I have ever used. I have never had an issue with the collective movement range but I fly pinch not sure if that makes a difference.

CookieMan, you cannot use the 9303 in the UK as the power output is much higher than we are allowed in the UK. I stand to be corrected, but I think it is a max of 100 mw in the UK and 500 mw in USA. I have been offered a 9503 the new one with 50 model memory, back light and throttle up timer starts, but I enquired about it, and as it's not an approved UK set, deffo an insurance void Tx! Be very aware using the 9303 in the UK.

Thank you Rob; yes I am aware of this matter mate and whatever your saying about the power output is correct, but the thing is I bought the radio way long back when I was in India and we did not have such restrictions there, much before I ever thought Id be comin here.

                        However,
                        a) when I enquired here, some people did say that as long as its approved by the FCC and has got a CE stamp, the product should be legit to use?!

                        b) The local club, when I enquired about this - they dint seem to have any further issues with me using the radio...

This is my radio purchased from the US. As you can see this has the CE mark - well atleast it looks quite legit to the naked eye!

So, in which way would this void the BMFA insurance?
