Help setting up Futaba 14SG

Right, just about to set up my first Futaba radio to a generic FBL unit.

I only have wires as supplied by the FBL unit which can allow for all set ups?

Where to start lol

If you are using V-bar, then just turn on your Tx, and then power up the Rx, and press the button in on it till the red led turns green.

Now follow the s-bus setup as per the V-Bar program.

Its not a Vbar.

I have linked the rx to the tx so good to go there. With Sbus it it the normal male to male 3 pin lead I have here and that goes from no8 to the FBL unit? The servos simply plug in to the 7008 unit, but in what order as its just numbered 1 2 3 4 etc. Still reading

Ben,

NO servos get plugged into the RX mate, everything goes into the fbl.

you have 1 lead going from RX-fbl which it sounds like you have already so your done wiring the rx.

You will need to check that the FBL unit (whatever it is) has the functions on the same channels as the TX.

If not then change one or the other accordingly.

everything on futaba is done on the condition screen. there will allow you to pick what switch you want to use and what position you want the switch in.

No mate there are 4 flight modes, Normal plus IU 1,2 & 3

You should be able to get more than 3 idle ups..

I'm sure you can... But then you use more switches..

Just got used to using 4 believe it or not.


I have assigned the idle ups to how I have them on my DSX11 which is idle up 1 and 2 are on SG and idle 3 is on SE. I have set TH to SF.

Does this have to be done on all new models you set up?
