12FG update plus hold question

My 12FG has 2.1 firmware. I believe 3.0 is available but I can only find it here

Is this ok for EU versions. I notice when I check the Information screen it says AREA Europe so I didn't know if there are different versions of the firmware.

Another question. Although I usually fly heli's, I have some fixed wing stuff. Is there a simple hold setting in airplane mode similar to COND HOLD in heli mode. Basically I want to flick a switch so that if I accidentally nudge the throttle while carrying a plane it doesn't run the motor. Seems easy on a heli, but as far as I can tell the only way to do it is to add a condition and assign the switch. Then in the AFR setting for throttle set the rate A and B to zero and the offset to -100. Just feels like I have missed something obvious and I am doing it the hard way.

Yeah you can update to the V3 there are lots of nice extras added, I'm not sure of a hold function for aircraft but like you say you can always get round it with a mix.

I do the same for all my planks on my 8FG.

I just use "Throttle Cut", assigned it to the same switch that I use for my heli "Hold" and set it to Zero... I have also set a timer to the same switch...

I agree, It's a good idea to have a backup before an update, I have never made one though and never had a problem after an up date on the T8FG or the T12FG.
