  • Futaba 10CH Update for sbus and the CGY750

    As you all know the 8 and the 12 have recently seen firmware updates which amongst other things give a nice addition to the gyro menu for the cgy750.

    Anyone know if there is going to be an update for the 10 - absolutely nothing about it on futaba or the net generally!?

    I've read somewhere that there will not be a update for the 10 channel sets

        Cheers for the replys, after some more investigation I see the only real problem is the gains aren't adjustable from the radio so not the end of the world. But a shame nevertheless.

          I was told by a Futaba Guy (as was Stuart) that there will be no updates for the 10C

                  does the 10c not support SBUS?

                    Yes it does, the receiver does the coding in to the sbus output. We are running one on the turbine 700 FBL with a 10cg. I think the update question is more in relation to using it with the CGY750 FBL unit which would require an update (to remotely adjust each individual gain).

                      Thought so cheers. How does one configure the SBUS receiver so that certain chanels go via the SBUS, and others go to that standard plugs? Or does the BeastX for example tell the Rx which channels to accept etc?

                        The channels are in parallel so to speak. If you have a 6203 then the first 3 channels in the s-bus is the the 3 PWM channels. If you have a 6[1/2]08 then it is the first 8 channels.

                        The besatx doesn't tell the rx anything. If you have a 14MZ for instance then you can decide which channels in the s-bus will be for ail, ele and pitch. When you configure the beastx you would then tell it which s-bus channel does what, assuming the beastx works like the CGY7550.

                          It does, there is a whole section on channel order. Trouble is I just can't get my head around it.

                          Basically, without SBUS I have it as follows, completely standard layout:

                          1 - Aileron
                          2 - Elevator
                          3 - Revlock -> thr servo
                          4 - rudder
                          5 - gyro gain
                          6 - pitch
                          7 - governor gain
                          8 - remote glow

                          Which SBUS, I'm having trouble separating the the 3 PWM channels from the SBUS going to the BeastX. For example, if I plug the throttle servo into ch1 on the Rx, it moves with the aileron which the beastx receives via SBUS. So how would I tell BeastX to receive the cyclic/functions and tail from say ch 4 upwards. Am I right in thinking that I'd have to reprogram it like this:

                          1 PWM - Revlock -> thr servo
                          2 PWM - Governor Gain
                          3 PWM - Remote glow
                          4 - Aileron
                          5 - Elevator
                          6 - Pitch
                          7 - Rudder
                          8 - Gyro Gain

                          ??

                          Cheers!

                          How would I then send out Aileron on ch4 instead of ch1 in my 10C?

                          Gah, I have a love/hate relationship with this stuff haha

                            I have a feeling I can't do what I want here. I think it relies on the ability to change which channel number each function goes out on (I need to put aileron on ch4 for example), and AFAIK you can't do this on the 10C.

                            EDIT: Confirmed. Looks like this SBUS Rx is of no use to me now
