re 14 sg swapping memory to another 14sg

I have a mode 2 14sg and wish to transfer my model memory to my mates 14sg who is mode 1 so he can fly my model is this possible

should be possible as i get buddied from a Mode 1 8FG to my Mode 2 14 SG. Can't tell you how to do it mind you

Yes. It certainly is possible, my uncle is mode one and I've done it with him before.


In reality it will be quicker to set up a new model (and mirror your settings) on the mode 1 radio than try to copy it across, because it'll take you so long to get your head around the sd card transfer, so you may as well just do it the way you know how!

Even if you did get it to work, you would still have to swap over the joystick commands so that it works mode 1. It is complicated.

What joystick commands would need to be swapped over?

You need to reassign the joystick functions (j1 - j4) as if you are copying a mode 2 model to a mode 1 radio, therefore these are all back to front.

A fresh setup on up on the new radio is the easiest solution.
