Did you check out this link below ?
http://www.modelflying.co.uk/news/ar...sp?UAN=383&v=1 "Whilst disassembled I decided to replace the receiver with a Spektrum AR 6100 2.4GHz unit, so that I could take advantage of my computerised transmitter, the DX7."

It's a bit short on detail.

BCX2 uses an AR6100e Rx. (And has a separate 3-in-1.)

It would be interesting to hear how you get on.

Thanks for that, sounds like he did exactly what I did with my first 3Ch heli, in the garden and ..... bye bye now! Only took me an hour to retrieve mine though but never flew again, too badly mashed.

I'll certainly look into the 2.4 Upgrade, as I know where he's coming from on the RX/TX issue, though if I did forget one day mine just wouldn't initialise the Gyro, so blades didn't do squat. Did when I switched off the TX first though,, ouch!!

Just so you know, both helis are 6ch RX on them. My old TX for the Blade is on it's way out already, doing funny things, so now am definitely looking to upgrade, but still a burning issue, do I go DX6i for around a oner, or spend some xtra wonga and go with the DX7?

I doubt very much I'll ever go on to 3d but who knows, may go for the Blade 400 though even then mainly as a camera ship. But would the 7th channel be useful on Phoenix and therefore worth the xtra?
