They are still trying to get it through CE approval, heard that today in LHS from Rep. The 12 channel sets are nearly a year away still

I think you'll find he works for Mcgregor the JR distributor or something like that

LOL... I wish I had some... JR go very quiet about release dates, we know that they are preparing paperwork for us and hopefully we should have next week. There is typically a 2 week gap before we receive the shipment. I was asked to supply some previous reports & chargers for JR and these were emailed & posted yesterday. So it could mean that they are preparing the test report in a format that we are accustomed to. This would be great as it implies that the testing phase is complete (at long last) and obviously ties in with the shipping paperwork being made ready !!

I rang Midland again yesterday and they "think" they may be arriving early March.

But obviously cannot commit themselves to this as previous predictions have fallen foul.

God damn I hate all this waiting around for stuff
Hang on so these sets are still being tested by JR in Japan?
So does that mean when that's done we have to wait for CE approval?
I pray this is not the case

The delay is due to the fact that the JR systems are using Spektrum technology. If any of you have worked with yanks you will know how anal they are regarding information. As I could not get the necessary documentation from them, I couldn't put it through our normal test house. If I could have done it would have been tested in the 1st week of December last year. As it is, JR arranged to have it tested locally and the earliest that it could go in for Type testing to EU standards was this month.

I know that in South Africa it has already been tested by the ICASA (which use the EU regs for the basis of their tests) and has been certified good to go.

I believe (but cannot get confirmation) that the tests are all complete, all we are waiting for now is a build run (and knowing our bloody luck we'll be stuck behind a yank production run !)

As soon as I get any information on availability (or even when its being loaded onto an aircraft in Japan) I will post here.

Thanks for keeping us up to date Mac Man, it is appreciated.
I have a question on the DSX9, Will it be a dedicated 2.4 set or like the Crashtaba 12FG will it be module based?

It is a dedicated 2.4ghz set.
I have also read that it has technology built in allowing you to transfer 9X v2/3 model setups into this Tx, making swithing pretty easy...

                              Sounds good
                              Cheers,
