  • Futaba 9cap Tx

    Hi

Can anyone advise re-9cap, I'm thinking of purchasing one. Is here any real problems it not being the 9chp ie the heli version. This is not the "Super"

I've read the pdf manual and can only see that some switches maybe in a different places.

    Cheers

I have a 9cap and its okay. It will do 99% of what anyone wants to do and more over while so many are jumping onto the DX-7's there discovering they don't quite do what you need or not enough channels....

Mines not heli version but on the 9cap its not an issue

Switchs on the 9cap can be assigned as required there not fixed to be in one point (actually idle up and throttle cut and trainer switches might be..)

    I certainly wouldn't swap my 9cap for a DX-7, only a JR 2.4 or the new futaba 9 channel 2.4ghz sets

One thing... the throttle/pitch stick has got a ratchet inside but it can easily be removed to make it smooth for heli operation.

Rumour from my LHS Ripmax rep is that the 9c 2.4 will be out just after Christmas. So might be worth waiting a bit.

Thanks all for the replies. Unfortunately, this time I've missed "this" Futaba 9c, so will have to go looking again.

            Cheers

                I've changed 2 days ago from a 9CHPS to the new JR DSX9 2.4 (X9303)
Will test fly & tweak both the N9 & T600N Pro to my liking today

The main problem I found with the 9CHPS is the response time, especially on a CCPM heli.
The 9CHP/S has a BIG delay in the CCPM mixing, so be aware of it!! (I'd assume the airplane version would be the same)

You can only assign switches on the 9CAPS/9CHPS (Super), NOT on the 9CHP/9CAP

Acro or Heli version of the radio doesn't matter.
The differences that I'm aware of are:

                1. 9CAP/S says "Airplane System" 9CHP/S says "Helicopter System"
                2. When making a new model memory, CAP defaults to airplane, CHP defaults to Heli
                3. CAP & CHP come with different servos & battery pack when purchased new.

Well my 9CHP Helicopter System TX sure assigns functions to the switches mind.

                    Yes you are correct.

I should have said "limited" switch assignments.
