Dx7s short sticks?

I find the sticks on my dx7s too long to comfortably control while using my thumbs. I tried pinch controlling but can't do it properly.

I'm struggling to find the spektrum 24mm sticks in stock, the one place wants a fiver for post and 1.50 for credit card fees which is a bit much for a 10quid part which weighs about 2grams.

Can someone tell me if the JR ones fit ok? The description on fast lad says the dx7 but not sure if this is the older dx7 or my s version.

Have you lowered them to the max ? Unscrew Allen screw and turn CW then tighten screw ;-)

Yeah, already lowered them. Tried some 24mm sticks on a friends dx8 and felt way more comfy.
