  • American 2.4G radio use?

I am looking for a good deal for a DX7 dsm2 TX and AR6100E rx combo for my rex after suffering 2 crashes both of which caused by glitching

The best deal I have seen was on ebay: the above mentioned combo including 1500mah battery pack, charger and binding lead for £105.00 + £20 p&p

Of course this is awesome price almost half price of UK suppliers. My only reservation is that I am not sure of the legalities of using this radio system in the UK. A club member has advised me that this radio will not have a kite mark on it making it illegal to use in the UK Thus voiding my BMFA insurance!

Also If I wanted to buy more receivers for other models, will UK receivers work with it?

    Any advise please.

Us sets are illegal due to outputting 1000mw compaired to the uk maximum of 100mw

      Thanks Edders,

That is a big supprise for me! I wonder why the maximum output for UK RC transmiter is only 100mw, a mobile phones output 2000mw?

Still I think I'll keep looking for a UK model.

I've got another question on this subject I know I can't us a US Tx, but is it ok to buy a US Rx (AR7000 etc) and use it with a UK Tx?

I have a number of Spektrum Rx (6100, 6200 and 7000). Some are UK, some are USA sourced and there is no problem with my Tx (when it was US power and now it is UK power).
