  • Futaba 35mhz to DX6i DSMX

    Hi

I am trying to find out how to swap from the futaba 35mhz radio gear to spectrum DX6i/AR6210 on a nitro heli. I have no experience on nitro heli's but understand you need a battery to power the servos and electrics. There is no governor on the heli.

My problem is the 35mhz radio gear has a "batt in" plug on the receiver and the AR6210 does not have one. Does it need a voltage regulator/bec to power the electrics or is there some other way?

    Thanks for any help

the ar6210 also has a battery in. the simplest way to power it is using a 4.8v nihm rx pack.I use a 4300mah on my raptor 30 it will last for at least 4 flights probably more( and raptor 30 flights can last along time! )

You can plug the battery into any unused port i use the bind / data port but when you are binding to your transmitter plug the battery into any other port then swap back to bind/data

Thanks guys I just checked the Horizon Hobby website and there is a small bit on using any unused port to plug a battery in.
