  • DX7 failsafes

Just been equipping the Zagi with a AR6100.

During setup I noticed that I couldn't set a 'throttle to zero and gentle turn' failsafe. It will only do a 'throttle to zero and keep last positions' failsafe.

I could set a gentle turn failsafe on my Futaba T7C but it seems that I can't on the Spektrum.
Am I missing something or does the Spektrum only support 'keep last position' ?
    Cheers, Lee.

Had this with my module on my 9X2 seems they only support hold on all channels bar throttle. Bit stupid but never mind

Spektrum only has a failsafe for the throttle, all other channels will hold last posistion.

You must rebind after setting up a model so that the failsafe is in the correct posistion for the thottle (closed or idle).

Cheers Phil & Leon, nice to know I'm not missing the obvious. I agree with you Phil - it's a bit daft and an oversight in my book.

Agree the lack of flexibility in the fail safe is not good.

But on a zagi, how can you set throttle off and gentle turn?
Surely if you have a bit of aileron what you have is a very slow roll!
...which combined with a little up elevator will be a slow half barrel roll and incomplete half loop into the ground...(Probably).

You're right. I was thinking of a hint of aileron and up elevator and, with no throttle, I was going for a gentle turn - gentle stall - gentle turn and so on. Having said that, the amount of time that my zagi actually spends straight and level during a flight, a throttle to idle failsafe might be the only way to go.
              Cheers, Lee.
