Nope but I'm keeping an eye out.
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

    And a DX8 too

Got my Blade 400 from Inwoods.
Already had a DX7 so bought they heli without the DX6i.

They are selling those DX6i`s off seperatly for about £50.
Comes with the manual, but wont be boxed(because it comes in the box for the Blade)
      Still a real bargain though

I've heard that a DX6i outfit will be around £110 although no info on which receiver & servos come with it. If the DX6i is this cheap it's going to kill the Futaba 6EX which is possibly the worst radio I've ever had to set up.
The really interesting thing is that the DX6i is Spektrum design from the ground up, not a modified JR set so maybe the DX7 replacement will be totally own design too.

            FWIW....

From what I've heard on the grapevine - and I stress this is only rumour, I have no "inside" information! - the deal between JR and Spektrum is along the lines of Spektrum will produce the "economy" sets (up to 7 ch) and JR will produce the "luxury" ones (9+ channels).

As I said, that's only a whisper I have heard, but so far the evidence seems to back it up......!

I can confirm my Horizon Hobby price list, the RRP for the DX6i Tx & Rx is £110. Servos are not included, so you can have open choice depending upon model.

I'm not sure which receiver is included, but it will be either AR6000 or AR6100, either are valued at about £36 anyway!

              Hope this helps?

I am liking the DX6i more and more

The programming menu and roller-switch makes programming very easy.

I have it set for the Blade400 it came with, plus a flying-wing and a 3D foamie.

I found the Elevon mixing for the wing didnt seem to give me enough aileron travel for tight spins, but it was easy to set up a p-mix instead which works great.

I am running off 4 x Hybrio 2100mah batteries which seem to do the job just fine and are lasting well (they also hold a charge for long periods when not in use).

I have requested a return/refund on my DX7 (I bought it last week so can return it within the 7 working day cooling off period). I think my money would be better spent if I wait for the DX7i and in the mean time, the DX6i is a great little controller.

                    Steve,

Yes it will run on a 2 cell Lipo (or Lion even). Its the same voltage board as the cheapie DSM 2 (Spektrum) transmitter that comes with the Eflite Blade CX2. We have one as a club trainer heli and I have converted that with a BEC socket so you can use a 2 cell Lion (as I have done) or you can fit AA's as a backup.

The battery lasts for ages and of course you can get away from the problem of nicads self-discharging when not in use. I used an old Lion pack that was useless for flying with, but its ideal as a Tx pack.

I would post a photo, but I left it at the club. Perhaps on friday I will!

                      Hi Pip
I am planning on a trip up the road to you to get one "dx6i" that it.
And would like to see it. Many thanks

Steve, I've just sent you a PM!

                        Further info:

The receiver that comes with the DX6i & Eflite Blade 400 is the AR6100e.

I am not sure what the 'e' stands for but it has the same specs as the AR6100. The pins on the 'e' version are horizontal rather than vertical.

Although the DX6i is a full range Tx, the AR6100 & 6100e are still classed as parkflyer receivers and not to be used on larger models.

Just bought myself a Blade 400 3D from Fast-lad today and they did say a Tx battery pack will be available. I’m well pleased with the DX6i, the PhoenixRC lead fits straight in the back so if you can get hold of them for £50 I think your getting a bargain if only to use with your sim.

The "e" stands for End Pin mate... As you mentioned the pins are located on the end of the receiver horizontal making it handy for use in a tight location..
