  • Spektrum DX7 Oil.. or somthing?

    Hi all

I was out having a fly today, its pretty windy here and something must have blown onto/into my transmitter and managed to wedge into the throttle sticks mechanism. I was way up in the sky and when I wanted to give a bit lower throttle to lower the heli a bit the thing was stuck (thank goodness the heli wasnt climbing too fast). I tried to look down at the tx to see if I could see the problem but it was kinda hard.. have you tried looking up with one eye and down with the other... hehe.

Finally I just forced the throttle down and heard a scraping cracking nasty sound, as if I had just grinded up a bunch of sand with my throttle . The sound is gone now but the throttle stick is pretty stiff and makes it hard to fly.. I also dont want to keep flying like this and mess up the tx alltogether if there is somthing stuck in there somewhere

    Any advice?

Take the back off and have a look.
yu can remove the back without invalidating the gaurantee, as per instructions to tighten the stick springs.
My guess is a problem with the throttle friction mechanism.

Have you taken the back off to see whats going on with the ratchet/slider portion of the assembly?

      Cheers,
      Rob

I opened it up, cleaned up the railing that you tighten to adjust the throttle stick stiffness and its done the trick

          Thank you guys.
