  • Any reason I shouldn't do this?

I've put some thin clunk line tubing over the aerials on my AR7000 to protect them.

This shouldn't cause any problems should it??

    I can't see a reason why it shouldn't.

However I would definitely do a range check before you fly with it. If it all works at 50 yards with the bind button in on the DX7 then you should be OK.

                    I dont agree...

I think that this would put unneccessary stress on the case / heatshrink protected entry to the case in the event of something bad happening.

Without it - your little aerials will just bend out of the way - with it, there is a chance that you have made the antenna more rigid.

Errr you expect to crash?, the tube adds weight and therefore mass/momentum in a crash. Picture the wire thrashing about itself like a wimp and then thrashing about under the weight of a huge weighty rubber suit.
