i doubt repairing a 138df is worthwhile. the schulze/hyperion rx's are better as they are DSP also a lot smaller. only around 45ukp.

i cant see an rx repair costing much less than that.

                http://www.grimsbymodelcentre.fsnet.co.uk/

Best to get the futaba type wire for your rx.Not just anything will do ?

                There around £1 per aerial.

Speaking with my licensed radio amateur hat on - the antenna is simply a piece of wire cut to a known fraction of the wavelength of 35MHz (actually quite a small fraction since the wavelength of 35MHz is about 8.5m or so). A half wave antenna would be very efficient, but still 4.25m long - still totally impractical for a model heli Wire guage is completely irrelevant, although I'd use a copper stranded wire rather than aluminium, or single core stuff. If it really must be orange, buy the Futaba-marketed wire - or go to Maplins; they do a range of colours.

                  Cheers - Rob.

Are you sure orange is the best i thaught the pignemt in the plastic made into a semiconductor so it converted the

wire into coax and shelded it completly and thats what stopped it working.

                    Steve

Brown is best as it is by definition single core.....

                      umm...

Dielectric constant of various plastics could make a difference, but I would have thought PVC was PVC?

Ahhh but because its brown not orange it can be described quit e accuratly as being at one with itself an orange one is by the same inference not.... Surely a blue one with a purple stripe could be describesd as being all sixes and sevens......
