DX6I buddy to JRDSX9

cant seem to get it to work,anyone done it?
My pal has a plane on a DX6I but cant fly so need to buddy him on my JR TX.
Power seems to work,ie turns on when lead is connected but the slave,my JR tx doesnt work his plane.??

Tried it with my DX6i and 9XII and it works fine. You need to set up the slave (DSX9?) to control the model; to be honest once you've done this I'd be tempted to use it as the master (bind it to the model) as you get more flexibility in handing off a subset of channels.

You have got the slave turned OFF, haven't you? You are HOLDING in the trainer switch on the master to transfer control?

his plane is setup nicely on his DX6I,set my JR9 as slave and plugged lead in,when we hold the DX6 switch the JR (slave tx) does nothing.
