This was an old issue with the futabas when they first came out. The affected tx's should have been recalled ages ago, but I guess it never hurts to be safe and double check.

I know now, it was me and my Ipod, missed the side of the screen with the date on past history, but interesting to see that it's not just Spektrum that have had 'issues'

Only difference was that the problem was dealt with by futaba.

I thought that was probably the case; I'd never heard about it and that sort of problem couldn't have been swept under the carpet. (unlike they're trying to do with the dx8)
