would any of you plane fliers know if the spektrum ar500 would be alright to use in a glider.

It's a full range unit, but make sure you place the Arial's as in the instructions.

Never had a prob in my edf but arial placement is crucial. We di some test at our club by moving the antennas and this made a big difference.
