If the charger is to the spec in the advert then it will do a lot of damage and take down the National Grid as M stands for million. They mean ma and you can use 100ma to charge your 2300 NiMhs. They will take about 30 hours from flat. It won't matter if you charge them for 40 hours, but if you leave them on for days at a time they won't be happy.

Are these Vapex instant batteries? If they are then they will keep charge for a long time, and will just need an overnight charge once a month or whenever they get down to 5.0V.

Yeah they are the Vapex instant batteries..That will be nice if they just need a top up once a month. How long would that take to charge them fully in the Tx?

They should keep most of their charge for a year. Around 70-80% allegedly. So that's about 600mah a year or 50mah a month. So 30mins. If you use the tx it will take about 200ma an hour, (I don't have a spec for the new DX6i). So two hours charge for every hour of use. Make a note of the volts you get after a long charge and then charge until you get there. Overcharge of a few hours is not a problem at 100ma on 2300mah NiMh batteries.
I keep the volts above 5.0 on the DX6i and above 10.0 on the DX7. Its not a bad idea to leave it on after you've charged it and measure the volts every hour. It's got a countdown timer. Then you'll know how close you are to a flat tx.
