  • DX7 grips

Does anyone else find the dx7 casing a bit slippery, i find it hard to keep a good grip on it?

I was wondering if anyone has added rubber grips to the back?

Hi Andy, I too asked this question, I ended up adding my own grips made from anti-slip mats.

At first I liked it, then I realised you do need a bit of slip for stick movement, and having it just behind the TX wasn't great for me either.. After a day or so I removed all the padding!

This might be the DX7 balance problem, if you use a tx strap. It's balanced for a 35MHz aerial. You can buy a bolt on goody to correct the balance point.

When my hands get sweaty while playing sim then sometimes slip off, this has happened once or twice.
Touching on what Laurence has mentioned I prefer for my fingers to glide around the stick as at different times and manouvers my fingers need to be in a certain place, its hardly any movement but its there.

I've recently started using a neck strap (Thanks Laurence) as i was wearing gloves in the cold. My hands also get sweaty holding the TX in the summer. I also find that being a thumber my thumbs can feal sweaty & i get a sensation like my thumb will slip.

How about finding some small elastic bands and tying them around the sticks for a flight and see how you get on.
