So, to setup the throttle on the TX, I need to set the throttle trim all the way to it's lowest point. Then set up the EPA at low stick for the throttle channel so that the engine throttle position is on the CLOSED marker.

Then up the trims to their top, and make sure the throttle goes all the way to the 'throttle open full' marker when the stick is at it's highest?

set the throttle trim in the middle, use the EPA to adjust the idle.

The only time you should use the trim is for fine adjustment of the idle and to kill the engine

Thanks Nutz. So, atb full throttle down, and trims at center, the throttle marker should be on, or just above the closed marker on the engine?

One of the things I miss with Futarbor is the throttle cut. With the DX7 you have to use the throttle trim to cut the engine.
The DX7 has this function, it's called throttle recovery. See page 72 of the manual.

                    Aha! I see now.
So to cut the throttle, just hold down the trim...
And then once it cuts, just press it up once, and it goes back to a position, ready to start?

you hold the trim down and it cuts the engine, you then push it up once (one beep) and the throttle goes straight back to where it was before you held it down. So it remembers the idle position basically.
