  • DX8 Switch select

Well, two models down into updating my Beast X's and switching over to the DX8. Just a couple of questions as I can't work a few things out.

    1) On the the flight mode menu, I have the F-mode set to the Rudder D/R and the Hold set to the Hold Switch (this I'm happy with)

    2) In the switch selection, I have everything inhibitted.

It seems that the gyro can be set in the radio, which I've assigned to the flight mode, and so can the governor. In both cases I seem to be able to choose setting specific to each flight mode without any funny mixes or the need to flick switches ??.

Everything seems to work as it should (can't check the governor till I fire it up, but I guess the percentage values are similar to JR, and the light goes green to red as expected).

I just wanted to ask anyone who is using a DX8, if this is correct ?? Is it really that easy or am I missing something.

Just about to start the 700e (Beast X arrived in the post yesterday from Aligh Trex)

I use one and it sound like you have it right.
On my set up I run the governor on the flight mode switch but my gyro on the gyro switch this is only my preference.
easy to walk out with the model in non heading hold then change as spooling up.
    have fun

Good point, might change that back to the switch. I tend to have mine in HH, then briefly switch to rate mode once the model is down on the floor after carrying to the flight line.

Really chuffed with the programming so far. Not messing about with the telemetry stuff yet, but might do in the future.
      Cheers,
      Simon
