  • Receiver Cover/Case

    Hi,
I am looking for something to protect my receiver on my Moskito (and on an ekranoplan i fly). I won't bother on my T Rex as it's hidden in the frames and the extra weight would probably kill the poor thing

I am aware of the quick uk padded box which looks useful. Also i have seen a photo recently (but can't remember where ) of a receiver cover that looked like a small bag which closed with velcro - does anyone know of these?

    Thanks for any tips.

    Hi mate,

Not seen the padded bag but yes I've used the Quick box.
I found it a pain in the backside.

Just very difficult to cram everything in & as I was experimenting with different servos/Governors at the time it became too much hassle for unplugging leads etc.

I few lads down the field use them though....I ended up just wrapping mine in foam and securing it with half a dozen thick rubber bands.
I think the boxes are a bit of an overkill, but thats just my opinion
    Cheers,

    Gazza

I have my receiver in a crash box, whic is great, but it does have one disadvantage if you want to frequencies you have to take the lid off each time, can be a little annoying, other than that, i would say its great, picked mine up on BMFA site ages ago, just search under crash box.
