Dx8 Quick Turnaround

I emailed horizon hobby uk on monday about returning my Dx8 to have the harware upgrade done they sent fedex round tuesday morning to collect it
and fedex brought it back thursday morning,
I didnt have the problem that was reported but thought it better to get it done anyway cant realy tell anything has been done as it was fine before but if you havent sent your in yet you realy should just to be safe and they are realy working hard to turn these around in the shortest time poss,
I didnt get a free rx in my box tho like they say they in the usa

What did you put in the box? Just the tranny?
Did you loose any setings and did you need to rebind your models?

I sent my tranny back Thursday took my lipo out just incase.

I sent just the tranny and the normal batt and backed up all my models but they all seem to be intact and still bind,
I seem to recall reading some where that the upgrade is just a capacitor on the vibration motor to stop the build up of static that can on some dx8s cause a loss of rf link or jittering servos mine didnt show any of these symptoms but got it done anyway,
Anyone with a first release dx8 should get this done it realy is hassle free and gives you peace of mind that you will not got the problem showing up in the future

Mine is back today.
I sent it Thursday afternoon and it's back today.
Hardware update is done just in case there is a problem.

Sent mine back 10 days ago to be checked!!
Had to chase them last Wednesday , only to be told mine couldn't be repaired and was f**ked..

To say I'm not impressed is an understatement..

Will have to wait 2 weeks for replacement.

Seriously considering selling it when arrives.

Sticking with my RELIABLE dsx9 me thinks.

mine was because it was a early build
Think they rap the vibration motor, improve the earthing and add a capacitor to it.

Was ok with ni-mh BUT with the lipo fitted , the blue led behind the speccy badge wouldn't go out to tell you it was fully charged.
Not a prob with a Nims , as it goes to trickle ,BUT obviously it needs to turn off when the lipo gets to 8.4v .
