Dx8 Help

I am having issues getting the gear channel setup. My beastx says there is low gain on the gyro (so it runs in normal mode). Even at 150% endpoints on gear channel it shows low gain (its plugged into the gear channel) I don't seem to be able to set two choices based on the gear switch, so I am thinking the switch is not configured correctly?

Any help gratefully received. Its been a long time since I configured switches (I used to just copy over my old setup in my dx7).

yes mate positive. I even put my old ar7000 back in (the channel order is the same) (with the Dx7) and it works fine.

plug a servo in the channel and see if it's actually working.

Basically on the DX8 you set this up on the gyro screen.

Down the bottom right is a configureable parameter, if you select that and scroll through the options you want to set it to 'gyro'. It should then give you three options for the gain. You can swap between them on the gyro switch on the top left of the front of the DX8. Make sure your gear channel endpoints are 100/100 or it won't work properly as the % value on the gyro screen is a percentage of the maximum endpoint value. So with 100/100 for endpoints, 80% will be 80%. But with 150/150 endpoints 50% would be an actual gain of 75% (half of 150) ..... if you see what I mean.

Ahh OK. What do I set the endpoints to on the gyro channel. Do they need to be 100% for this to work?

I need 55% gain (as I know this worked on the Dx7)

I updated my previous post with some more detail. In your case set them to 100/100 and then set 55% in the gyro screen....for all three switch positions if you want. Bear in mind if you knock that switch and one of the values is 0% your gyro just turned off

Dam, no its not ! What the hell? I know the gain wire works, and is the correct way round. It still won't go into heading hold mode

On the monitor screen +55 set on gyro switch is showing as -55 (which is the problem). My endpoints are 100% ?
