Im just wondering if the release of the DX8 will lower the prices of the DX7 (especially the second hand market). Do you need the TX right now - if not it may be worth holding off for a bit

I just got a DX7 but I'm not getting on with it I might just get rid and keep the DX6i.
my DX6i seems more straight forward to program. the new DX8 does anyone know if its got the same stle menus as the DX6i

is it normal for the DX7 to make a hum/buzzing noise

Two comments here. Whilst the DX7 is a little different to program from the DX6i, you will get used to it very quickly. Trust me - I did and, after a very short while, the manual becomes superfluous.

                And yes, my DX7 hums.

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

..... It's when it doesn't hum that you have a problem!

I've never used a DX6i but you have to remember that the DX7 is an older radio- I think programming menu wise it's more JR than Spectrum.

Even with the ugly but feature packed DX8 release, I can't see a reason to upgrade it any time soon!

stick with the dx7, I went from a dx6i to a dx7 and it takes a little bit of getting used to, but it is by far the better tx.

Thanks I'll have a go with it and see if I can get used to it.
should the servo reverse switches be the same position as the DX6i as I am having to reverse some of them

DX7 over the DX6i every day of the week.

                        Get used to it.
