  • Futaba 9C Super quick q's

    Hi,

Does the 9C Super come in different version like the old 9C did ? eg 9CHP, 9CAP etc ?

Looking on a few website's and they don't show any other versions but they look like they say 9CP on them ?

    Simon.
    Need a 90, can't decide on which ?

    Hiya.

    A = Aeroplane, H = Helicopter

The difference is that the heli is mode 2 (throttle on left), and the throttle stick is smooth. Aeroplane = mode (1 ? not sure), throttle on right, and the throttle has a ratchet/click on it.

Apparently you can easily switch it around after the fact

Looking at the new manual for the 9C super they show, 9CAP super / 9CAF super and 9CHP super / 9CHF super plus a 9CP super.

So the AP and AF versions must be planks with either a PPM or PCM rx supplied ?

and like wise with the HP and HF version apart from it's the heli.

So what the CP version, is the one I would get if I just bought a tx ?

Might just buy a MZ there's only two version to choose from

Ah, I see now that I didn't read your original question properly, sorry

I don't know the answer either. I just bought a PCM 9x mk2. Was only £189 for the tx & nicad.

The manuals are usually written to cover a number of different versions, in the case of the 9C radio there are only really 2 verisons, the 9CAP aircraft version and the 9CHP heli version. The differences between the two are just that the aero version has the ratched tab installed on te throttle gimble and the model setups default to aero. Similarly the heli version has the smooth throttle tab installed and the model setups default to heli.

The UK distributor Ripmax, only bring in one version into the UK, that being the 9CAP, as the smooth tab is included in the set and it is an easy task to change the model type when setting up a new model.

The F and P versions probably are to signify either PPM or PCM, but these are both probably only badged as these in other markets, maybe the far east or aisa pacific perhaps.

          Cheers,
          Pete.
