  • DX7 Binding Problem

I am having problems trying to bind my DX7 to the AR6000. Every time I follow the set up in the manual the orange light fails to flash and remains on constantly when the binding key is in place. I have tried using the female plug directly into the BAT terminal but to no avail.

If anyone can help me out I would be very grateful, especially as I am new to this game!

    Many thanks

Does the switch harness your using have the signal wire some switches dont and the bindig process shorts the signal to ground
To get around this stick your binding plug into the batt socket on the rx and fit the battery in any other channel this should get it flashing in binding mode for you

      Cheers Gaza,

I have tried that but still no luck. Do you think the battery charge could be having an effect on it? I am sure the Rx battery is almost flat so will stick it on charge overnight and see if I have any luck in the morning.

Do you mean AR7000 RX? as the AR6000 is for the DX6 I think - you should have a second baby RX type thing that plugs into the main RX.

As far as I remember you short the out side pins on an RX socket by using the supplied plug - power up RX first, then with the button held down on back of transmitter, power that on - the lights on the RX will go from flashing to constant after a bit and the servos will jump in to life.

PS. Did you get the servos and gyro ok?

Yep servos and gyro received today - thanks very much.

          I did mean the AR7000 - a tired typo!

You are right in the process that needs to be followed its just inserting the bind plug does not cause the LEDs to flash. The only thing I can think of is that the battery is as flat as a pancake and only has enough power to keep the LEDs lit constantly.

I shall attempt it again in the morning!

I had a AR7000 play up while i was setting it up because of a flat battery charge it up and try again it might just be that
As far as i know the AR6000 will work with the DX7 its the AR7000 that won`t work with the DX6

I'd put a pint on your batteries being flat. I recall reading something about that being one of the possible causes of 'binding' failure.
I've got a perfect flying record - I've not left one up there yet!
