  • Is this Legal ???

Ok, so my family and I are travelling abroad this year, and i am planning on taking one of my micros abroad with me.

It will be Parkzone Micro and i will use my DX6i.

Does anyone know if its Legal/Illegal to bring a DX6i abroad with me, im asking because i didnt know about frequency things and all that stuff.

We will be departing from Exeter Airport in July 2010, i have already sent a letter to them asking about this, but they have not replied yet.

I would just like your thoughts on this

    Thanks

    Sam,

It will depend on where you are going. France has a reduced spectrum so you would not beable to use it there without changing the programming. I think there is an option of doing this in the software.

I would give horizon hobbies a call, they will know the valid ranges for each location they sell in and should also be able to tell you if the unit you have can be modified electronicly to work.

        It's Spain, isn't it?
If so, assume it's legal. Otherwise they would have had major problems with 3D Masters.

Spain is fine with a UK 2.4, as is italy. i think france is one of the few odballs but it is supposed to be coming into line soon if it hasn't already.
The french pilot I met last summer reckoned specktrum would be legal within 6 months.

Interesting thread = I live in Monaco (fly in France) and am not aware of any special needs for Tx fx. I have a bog standard DX7.

            Thanks
