spektrum dx6i setup

hi guys im new and i will be using the dx6i tx with trex 450 pro..


is there anything i need to do in the setup mode which is very important on the txmode.


also what switch is for idle up

Ensure swash type is setup at 120
idle up is usually used on the switch named gear

Also its important to enable the throttle hold

Throttle hold is the switch on the top right hand side nearest the back and should be set to "0" or lower in the throttle curve menu.

Idle up is the switch on the top left hand side nearest the front. You will need to set the stunt throttle curve to your required head speed.

Sorry to explain more, Go into throttle curves and scroll down to 'hold', make sure its a flat line on the graph to the right.
You can enable throttle cut aswell, I havent needed it yet but others probably do use it.

EDIT: sorry read the question wrong, but above is how to set it, although I think the hold it set like that on default anyway.

What i do.

Take motor outjust incase something terrible happens and the heli disinigrates right next to you, have done this before

Take all links off swash servos just incase they all bind into each other and burn the motors out or break the gears.
