  • DX7 throttle hold help please

I should know the answer to this but don't! Anyone help?

Am building up a Pro using electrics ex 450SE. During the build I have had the electrics fired up many times and have bound the DX7 to the heli many times as well.

I have now developed a problem with "Throttle Hold". Throttle hold is set at -5%. The switch works OK and shows on/off on the TX as its operated. The ESC is a std Align 35amp unit.

When I plug in the battery the heli initialises OK and spools up as you operate the throttle. Back to off with the stick, flick on throttle hold and the heli starts up!

I have managed to make it stop doing this by setting it to -12% throttle hold in the TX.

I have no trim on the throttle. I have bound the heli with throttle hold at 0% and then set it to -5% but that doesn't cure the issue.

    All the servos operate fine.

    Any ideas? Thanks

    Dave

Yeah, set throttle hold to zero, your throttle curve to 0 -100% with 100%ATV's and re-program the ESC.

also dave make sure all your throttle curves are set to normal 0-25-50-75-100 too
if you dont it will confuse the esc and wont set right m8

Throttle hold set at -5% is quite standard and should be OK - I always use this.

However when you set-up the ESC and 'teach' it your throttle stick range you must do so with a throttle curve that is 0 - 50 - 100.... and the throttle travel must be set to -100% and + 100%, or you will teach it the wrong range - maybe this is the issue?

Well thanks again all who tried to help.

Got it sorted. I said I had no subtrim on and didn't in the TX but did on the front. The throttle subtrim was at the bottom instead of the middle when I bound the TX to Rx.

Anyway it looks as if I have a Pro that may even fly now. Think I'll wait until Friday night lads. See you there Adie - race ya!
